The Chevrolet Enthusiasts Club was established in 1972 when a small group of passionate Chevrolet owners—such as yourself—came together to form a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Chevrolet cars and trucks. This organisation became known as the Chevrolet Enthusiasts Club.
What began as informal monthly gatherings in members’ homes quickly grew into one of New Zealand’s most respected Chevrolet car clubs.
Today, we welcome all Chevrolet enthusiasts and all Chevrolet models—whether kept in original condition or personalised to reflect the owner’s style.
Our publication, The Bow Tie, features historical information, technical data and specifications, special interest articles, regional updates, and stories about members’ vehicles. Each edition is enhanced with excellent photography, making it an enjoyable read. All articles and images are contributed by our members.
The club also holds events and meet-ups for members to enjoy the cars and trucks we love, while sharing stories, knowledge, and passion across generations. With years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in all things Chevrolet, our members are always willing to share insights and support one another.
Owners of other GM vehicles are also welcome to join us. Whether you already own a vehicle or are in the process of getting one back on the road, the club provides a great opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts, discuss your project, and gain valuable advice.
The club has an extensive library, along with a spare parts department available to members, located at the Auckland clubrooms. You do not need to own a Chevrolet to become a member.
The Chevrolet Enthusiasts Club of New Zealand invites you to share in our passion for preserving and restoring Chevrolet cars and trucks, while enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts through a range of national and regional events and activities.
